A member asked:

My mri found that i have several areas of mural thickening and hyperenhancement involving my distal ileum but its secondary to luminal underdistention, what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ileum: The ileum didn't expand. It appears there may be some chronic inflammation of the ileum such as occurs in regional enteritis or Crohn's disease. I recommend an evaluation by a gastroenterologist. I assume the study was ordered because of gi symptoms or abdominal discomfort.
