Your doctor should g: The best guidance should come from the radiologist where you have had prior X-rays and Ultrasound done. But your primary care physician(PCP) has to go speak with a radiologist and ask him to be the guide as to which is best next test to do(I prefer MRI) but I also ask radiologist opinion when in doubt.

Radiologist: This a situation where I believe that the primary care physician confers with the radiologist who reviews the ultrasound and then advises as to what imaging test is best for further evaluation.
