Check Your Pharmacy: Best way to manage allergies? Manage the things causing your symptoms. There are several over-the-counter medications too. Anti-histamines: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) - may make you sleepy. Zyrtec (certirizine), Claritin (loratadine), & Allegra (fexofenadine) last longer & don't cause drowsiness. Nasal steroids: Flonase (fluticasone), etc. work if taken daily. Ask your pharmacist for help!
