I'm a 100m sprinter and i run very fast on training days 10.7s but i am unable to sprint fast when competing. i gas out at about 40m to finnish line and finnish poorly (11.5s) unlike training days. i am getting frustrated at this recurrence. help!

Coach Says What?: Have you discussed this with your Coach? They may have an answer, because they are the ones who watch you train and compete. Do you get too nervous before a race? You might be burning your gas too soon off the blocks, instead of reserving some for the later push.

Athletic training: In addition to sprints, long distance 1-2 mile runs will help to build endurance. If you exercise with a trainer they may offer a plan to help you maximize your strength and endurance. Check websites and training advise online regarding diet advise before a track meet. Keep well hydrated, eat well and watch for any signs of shortness of breath or dizziness.
