Block : Both nerves come from the semilunar ganglion which sits just above the condyle of the jaw or above the TMJ joint. The nerves are separated by the lingular artery. The inferior alveolar goes to mylohyoid muscle, dental, incisive and mental area. The lingular nerve innervates the anterior 2/3 of the tongue. They can be difficult to isolate and often both get blocked. The block well tollerated.
