A member asked:

I have an infected toe, how do i remove it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You would want to: Keep the toe, the nail would be better removed by a podiatrist who would give you local anesthesia. You may also need an antibiotic. Performing "bathroom surgery" often leads to bigger problems and can worsen the infection.
