A member asked:

If hiv mutated and cannot be recognized by regular tests, is it effective to use cd4 level as indicator of hiv/aids? if cd4 level drops under 200?

No such thing: HIV never mutates to be unrecognized by standard tests. If such an event occurred, it would be expected to happen in the area of the world where HIV evolved (i.e. southern Africa) and not appear elsewhere for many years. This is nothing to worry about. CD4 testing is not a test for HIV and should not be done if your HIV blood test is negative.
