C. Diff: Clostridium difficile is an anaerobic, gram-positive, spore-forming bacillus. It colonizes in the colon in 3 to 5% of adults. The disease is transmitted by spores from fecal to oral route. Associated with antibiotic use as this diminishes aerobic bacteria and allows bacteria to grow. The bacteria likes to hand out in the gut biofilm and that is why it comes back for some people.
