Hi there. when is it advisable to see your gynae for the first time in your pregnancy? provided that i am approx 8 weeks and i've only had a pregnancy test done at my gp.

8 wks pregnant ?'s: See an OB/GYN physician as soon as you can get an appointment. Testing is done early in pregnancy, which greatly increases the safety for the fetus. Nutritional and other important advice will be provided.

I had a blood test at exactly 4wks after the first day of my last menstruation, and it was positive for pregnancy. Gynae wont give me a date for my first scan until I have more bloods done in a week as my beta quantitative levels were low... apparently..
