Time to see doctor: Chest pain is a sign that he should talk with his doctor or go to an ER if pain is moderate or worse. In one's 30's, intermittent, sharp chest pains that move around are less likely a heart attack but the ER can still help. If it turns out not to be costochondritis, myocarditis, anxiety attack symptoms, or heart attack, the ER will also have checked for problems like pleurisy or pneumonia.
