A member asked:

Would compression brace help calf cramps and how does it help? magnesium helped me some too. any other suggestions for things to try that are over the counter? no blood clots. potassium and magnesium were within normal range by labs.

Leg cramps: Its worth continuing the magnesium supplement as we only measure extracellular levels but the intracellular levels may be reduced. If cramps occur in the calves, stretching of the calves may prevent them. Quinine, which is in some tonic waters, are helpful for some people.I haven't found that compression stockings prevent leg cramps, but daily stretching of calf muscles often help.
