A member asked:

Is there any treatment/ drugs for alzheimers without affecting my blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Medications: I have experience with aricept, exelon and namenda through the years and have not observed any significant adverse effects on patients blood pressure. Namenda can accelerate the heart rate but when titrated properly it shouldn't be a problem. Your pharmacist may have more information about these medications that are used to help patients with cognitive issues.
