My throat hurts and i can't sleep. what do i do? eventually fall asleep from exhaustion?

Usually, a person sees a doctor if the sore throat illness is bothersome (as in this case), comes with other symptoms, is recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat).
