A member asked:

Does peripheral cyanosis only affect the color of the nails? or is the skin on the fingertips/also affected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hands and feet too: Peripheral cyanosis usually means a problem with the circulation to the places farthest from the heart. In the arms and legs, milder symptoms would appear in the nails, tips of fingers, and tips of toes. Increased symptoms would mean cyanosis would appear in the entire fingers and toes... and even in the entire hands and feet.
