See below: Gently massage the skin of the nail margin away from the nail. This should give the nail enough room to grow back cleanly.

Try cotton.: Sometimes it helps to place a small amount of cotton in the nail corner to help train the skin to grow out of the way. Have it evaluated by you doctor and see what options are best for you.
