A member asked:

The white part of my eyes is yellowish/brownish. it always has been as far as i can remember, but now the discolouration is intensifying. so i'd like to know, is there any treatment for this?

It's time to see...: When the white part of one's eyes turn yellow, it's time to see her primary care doctor. An exam will be done, and blood tests done to look for hepatitis (liver disease). Some people get coloring of the whites of their eyes but do not have jaundice nor hepatitis, meaning the coloring is not from bile. It can be genetic or run in families. One's doctor can figure things out.
