Basics: Cow milk will provide adequate calcium & other basic nutrients when intake peaks at 16-24 oz/d. More than that can irritate the gut & eventually cause tiny amounts of blood loss that can cause anemia. A kid needs to take in enough fluid value (from any source) to pee every 6 hrs on average. Since some fruit is 95% water/vegies 60% & other foods vary I find it unnecessary to keep close track.
