Had an exam to see if i have retina detachment.the results show i have poster. vitreous detachmt.my eyes were dilated for the exam.same day of exam,i washed my hair.some shampoo got into my eyes causing burning&stinging.can shampoo harm dilated eyes?

No difference: The effects of shampoo, conditioner, facial scrub, bath soap, bath water, shower gel, shower water, etc..., on one's eyes are the same, regardless of whether or not her eyes are dilated. Because numbing drops are used just before dilating drops, a patient should be sure not to rub her eyes (just dab with tissue) during dilation in the eye clinic, so not to accidentally scratch her numbed cornea.
