A member asked:

I have unbearable back pains on my left side, what could be causing it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ER can evaluate: If in lower back, some causes of pain there include: back muscle strain, back ligament sprain, fractured vertebra (spondylolysis), slipped vertebra (spondylolisthesis), herniated disc, spinal stenosis, spinal arthritis, urine infection, kidney infection or stone; tumor in the spine, kidney, or elsewhere; fibromyalgia, etc... With "unbearable" pain, the ER can evaluate and help treat.
