Recovering from flu. i was coughing up brown sputum. when i exhale, i can feel and hear bubbles in my throat and have to cough up frothy white sputum to clear the bubbles to be able to breathe normally. repeats every 5-10 minutes.

S/p flu forthy d/c: Would follow up w/ urgent care . May be just post nasal drip s/p flu or some people get a concomitant bacterial infection. May benefit from antihistamine or a mild decongestant / expectorant or may need antibiotics. May also be related to reflux (try famotidine or omeprazole) which sometimes occurs after illness f/u /w /MD
