Is viibryd because of the 5ht1a a good substitute to klonopin? i read that 5ht1a inhibits glutamate which is what klonopin does. it would be nice to switch over from lexapro and klonopin to just viibryd if this is true? wouldnt it be super sedating

Viibrid: Klonopin is an antianxiety agent and is in the benzodiazepine class. Viibrid,an antidepressant, frees up serotonin, is not a substitute for klonopin and would be dangerous to take until lexapro is totally out of your system. This complex question is best answered by your prescribing physician collaborating with a pharmacist.
