Basics: The cause of bright red blood on stool is most often from a scratch/tear in the tissue surrounding the outlet. This happens if stool is hard/bulky or exits too fast. Piles rarely occur at a listed age of 19. There are other potential causes but these are less common. If it persists get an exam. If it really spooks you get it evaluated.
