8w pregnant ?'s: A brown discharge at 8w of pregnancy may be due to a lack of progesterone being made in the placenta, since ovarian progesterone will cease at about 7-9 w of pregnancy. Your OB physician may add some oral progesterone to guard against miscarriage.
