I recently had a pulmonary effusion but im experiencing the same symptoms as before the drain was done. shortness of breath & it feels as if the lung is compressed pain in my back at the lung area & in my right shoulder ?

Effusion: Always a recurrence possible. If you had a drainage tube in you could be developing a collapsed lung or pneumothorax, bleeding or a pneumonia. I would let the provider who put your tube in know about your symptoms.
