Rectal pain: Rectal pain associated with bleeding are typically caused by either a rectal fissure and or a hemorrhoid. Both conditions can be alleviated by sitz bath, and use of oral pain medication such as tylenol or ibuprofen. Both conditions are alleviated by increasing fiber consumption and water. Typically resolves, but hemorroids thrombose and require lancing and a persistent fissures need repair.
