Missing details but: Circumcision is unnecessary if good hygiene is done. Babies are born complete, finished, and perfectly fine (except for the few unlucky ones with birth defects). Circumcisions are done for religious and cultural reasons, but the procedure does permanently change the genitals, so parents should think about it and talk about it before doing anything to their perfect little newborn.

Your choice, but....: At a listed age of 47 the process would likely be done under general anesthesia & require a week or more recovery period. Sometimes a lesser procedure can provide a degree of benefit that you could accept as enough. I would ask your doc for a referral to a urologist in your region. The docs on this site have no access to who/where such services are around the world where this site is seen.
