A member asked:

Is it normal for your pupils to "pulse"? they grow slightly smaller and bigger with no change in light hitting them. is this a focussing thing?

It can be normal: Pupils get bigger and smaller not just to light intensity, but also when changing focus from near to distant objects (or vice versa), and of course when a person has emotional changes such as excitement, or is doing cognitive thinking tasks (using brain power).
