A member asked:

Subtle, non-specific" t2/flair hyperintensity on mri, bilateral in parietal cx, "possibly w/i normal limits". neurologist said not to worry (no diagnosis except anxiety), but i am only 22 y/o. am i at higher risk for developing ms/ad/etc.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

White matter: This finding is usually found in older patients and is a marker of vascular disease. I would be reassured by your neurologist's advice. Ask him/her whether a follow-up mri is advisable in the future.
