Use is widespread: Pharmacogenomic tests relevant to neuro-psychiatric medications have been clinically available to psychiatrists for more than a decade. They tend to be used more to determine propensity for adverse reactions since some genetic populations are more prone to allergic reactions to certain drugs than others but the ability to tailor drug therapies based on an individual's genetics is gaining traction.
