A member asked:

When i was hiking a stubbed my toe and didn't really think anything of it, well two months later my nail is still completely purple, but doesn't hurt.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Subunguinal Blood: This is a hematoma that runners often experience. They liked to call it "Black Toe." It will not disappear until the entire length of the nail is replaced. Often, in the final stages the entire nail will come loose. Not to worry, it will grow back.
