Yesterday my grand baby temperature was 100 i gave her 5ml of motrin and it down. hours later she was warm agoin and i gave her more motrin. today her heart rate is rapid and she is still warm. why is that?

Fever source: Monitor the temperature and if the rectal temperature is 100.5 or higher, please see your pediatrician. No Motrin is needed for low grade temperature. Continue feeds and watch for signs of infection such as a cough.

Why ?: Babies are often warm & sweat, particularly at the back of their neck making it wet. I do not consider 100 F a fever & never recommend treating it. You don't list age & motrin should never be given under 6 mo of age. Babies normally run heart rates of 90-120 during good health. If there is a specific reason you are concerned about an illness you are welcome to start over with more detail.
