A member asked:

I had a steroid injection in my sciatic nerves yesterday. i rested. today, my face is "flushed" red around the nasal area? is this normal? i didn't take any other medications, nothing?i've had steroid injections before.

Flushed: The corticosteroid that was injected also enters the general circulation and can cause the flushing. Sometimes patients also note an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Perhaps the injection was in a more vascular area than with previous injections.
