A member asked:

Can bloodwork and urine check for most cancers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, not yet: Someday, it might be possible to check a person's blood or urine and detect traces of bad cancers before they spread or get too big. Currently, only some cancers can be detected in the blood or urine. Routine check-ups and living a "low cancer risk" lifestyle, along with being lucky (being born with a low genetic risk for getting cancer)... that's the best we can do.
