A member asked:

My two week old baby has trouble passing stools, she is exclusively breastfed. what can i do to ease her discomfort?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: Infants often struggle with stools because their belly muscles are weak & they must use their fussing/breathing muscle to push things along. If it is soft when they go it is not constipation. BF babies can poop a small smear every feed or a cradle filler once a week. I don't know if I would do anything based on the little info you listed.
