Doctor can evaluate: Such a convinced teen can see his primary care doctor to describe what convinced him. The doctor knows of many disorders than can cause similar symptoms, and will evaluate the evidence presented, and likely order some lab tests and maybe an x-ray after doing an exam. Fortunately, cancer is extremely rare in teens, but unfortunately, a few teens do get cancer.
