A member asked:

I believe i have a sinus infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: Bacterial (not viral) sinusitis is treated with antibiotics to kill bacteria in the sinuses, plus a decongestant (often a combination such as Claritin-D or Zyrtec-D), and a steroid nasal spray such as mometasone to shrink some of the swelling inside the nose... to allow the sinuses to properly drain. Persistent sinusitis symptoms may need longer courses of antibiotics or an ENT exam.
