38 yo,healthy woman.the base of my thumb twitches randomly,causing thumb to move. for past 5 months,have noticed in same hand index finger sometimes,too.no weakness or anything.if als,would something else be happening by now?i do work at computer.

See your doc : Very unlike ALS, and much more like an overuse syndrome from your data entry job. This should be examined by a PMR or Ortho doc. If it is,overuse, then ergonomic changes will be offered and your symptoms should improve.

Right index finger twitches. Especially after I clench my hand and re-open it and/or use my hand to open stuff. If I don't use my hand then there are no twitches. No weakness or atrophy. Compressed nerve or ALS? Super scared (I'm 41yo?
