Doctor can check: Unable to pee means various things to different people. In a teenager, one cause is a bladder infection in which a person feels like she has to pee often. Another possible cause is medication. Some medications make it hard to pee even when the bladder is full. One's doctor will also check for any swelling, infection, or obstruction to peeing. Hopefully it is nothing serious.
