Doctor can evaluate: Lower right side or abdomen discomfort can be from many things. If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up and cause discomfort or pain. The appendix, hip bone, some muscles and nerves, and the ovary are in that area. Gallstones and kidney stones can also cause pain. One's primary care doctor can evaluate, plus do a pregnancy test if needed.
