I've been experiencing these symptoms since thursday (29 november). i went to a gp on thursday evening and he recommended rest and pain killers, neither of which have helped. my headaches are getting worse and don't go away even after pain killers?

Can be a 911 moment: Most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... A "worst ever" headache, recurrent or weird headache, or one with other worrisome symptoms should be examined. A "worst ever" headache means calling 911 (or the local emergency number) to go to the ER, to check for a brain problem.
