I have a tooth that has a hole. it feels like my mouth has cavities. the tooth has been cracked for about 8 years now and never have me problems. there is a slight pain. what can i use in the meantime as i wait to go to the dentist on saturday?

Dental neglect: As you alre3ady know, damaged/infected teeth cannot repair themselves. A little problem 8 year's ago has become a more serious problem now. That infection is spreading unabated to all your other organs. OTC nSaids, primarily Ibuprofen/advil/motrin/nurofen, may dull the pain until you get to your Dentist for appropriate care. cold compresses may help. Good luck
