It Depends: Since you only have sensitivity, the tooth most likely can be repaired (filled or crowned). However, if the crack is more severe or runs vertically along the tooth, removal may be your only option. The dentist will want to take an X-ray of the tooth (or possibly all your teeth if you have multiple issues) and develop a plan for that tooth & your overall dental health.
