A member asked:

My 5 year old had the stomach flu last week, started on monday. she is better, but her stools are very soft and still far more frequent than usual, about 4 to 6 hours after she has eaten, is this normal after a tummy bug?

Yes: It can take a while for things to normalize. I find applesauce, bananas & rice are natural plugs that help firm them earlier.

Hydration : Keep your daughter well hydrated, Pedialyte, water and avoiding dairy products until well may relieve her symptoms. Watch for decrease in urine output and dry mouth.
