Do i have to see a gynecologist before starting birth control pills ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Your primary care doc may have the training & experience to evaluate you for the pill. Each patient needs to have a full family & personal medical history, review of medications and exam before starting these. Some are at risk of complications with the pill & may find that an IUD or implant is better suited for their needs. Docs that prescribe these without an eval could lose their license.
