Either, see details.: A gp is a good gateway to period regulation, especially if this is your initial attempt at birth control. Gp's can provide you with medical reconciliation, baseline labs and most birth control. Intra uterine devices (iuds) and implantable rods such as nexplanon, however, may need to be inserted at the gynecologist's office.
