A member asked:

Started as sharp cramp lower pelvic region into groin. intermittent cramps, last week or so sharp cramps other side lower back and flank and upper ribs. ct scan clear, im a little gasy.i have gastritis. waves of nausea on occasion. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pelvic cramps: Those symptoms are not characteristic of gastritis. I'm most suspicious of some type of pelvic pathology including ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease or ruptured ovarian cyst. Ultrasound may be more revealing in acute pelvic disorders. I recommend an examination by your gynecologist if pelvic or lower abdominal symptoms persist. For other persistent abdominal discomfort see your MD.
