They are: very different types of treatment. Although BOTH are used for PAIN , BOTOX is specifically for pain associated with MUSCLE spasm whereas RFA is usually done for NERVE pain. BTW Both can be and are used in "mixed' clinical pictures. Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
