Difference between uti and urnary track infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI is an acronym: UTI means urinary tract infection, just like OTC means over-the-counter, and ASAP means as soon as possible. There is no difference between UTI and urinary tract infection, which means an infection anywhere between the kidneys and the urethral meatus (the hole where pee leaves the body). Most commonly, UTI means a simple bladder infection that hasn't spread to the kidneys.
