Dear doctor i have given birth to a baby on monday night. today is the 5th night and i still dont have milk in my breasts. i was advised to take elgonyl for milk production . please tell me if this is ok or are there bad side effects ?

Absent lactation ?'s: After five days following childbirth, lactation may not occur. Elgonyl will not always stimulate milk production, and is primarily an anti-psychotic used for schizophrenia. At this point, see your OB physician for pituitary function testing, and perhaps a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
