I have been throwing up several times today. all of it with a foul smell. this time there was thick pieces of black throw up substance as well. i didn't eat anything black. i ate scallops and after a few mins of eating them i threw up.

Black pieces: Black pieces in vomit may be oxidized blood from your stomach lining secondary to inflammation. You were intolerant of the scallops or you may have developed gastritis from other irritants like alcohol, aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen. If you continue to vomit or if large amounts of black vomitus or actual red blood appear, go to the hospital emergency room.
